Overseas Entity Verification Check<\/h1>\n

The Register of Overseas Entities came into effect on the 1st of August 2022 through the new Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022.<\/p>\n

The register applies to all overseas companies that wish to buy, sell or transfer property or land in the UK. \u200b<\/p>\n

These companies must register with UK companies House and disclose the beneficial owners of the company.<\/p>\n

This OE VFO1 document is used\u00a0 to confirm that verification checks have been completed on all beneficial owners and managing officers of an overseas entity.<\/p>\n

What information will be shown on the public register:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most of the information given to Companies House about overseas entities, beneficial owners and managing officers will be publicly available on the Register of Overseas Entities.<\/p>\n

Companies House will not show:<\/strong><\/p>\n

• home addresses<\/li>\n
• full dates of birth \u2013 only the month and year will be shown<\/li>\n
• the agent assurance code<\/li>\n
• the date verification checks were completed<\/li>\n
• information about trusts, however it may be shared with HMRC<\/li>\n
• email addresses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
